About Tigers spring training
Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium is the Detroit Tigers' spring training home and the longest-running spring training partnership in MLB — the Tigers have trained in Lakeland since 1934. The stadium is also home to the Lakeland Flying Tigers during the regular minor-league season.
Tigers fans plan their February–March trips around the spring schedule. Many stay for stretches longer than a typical hotel booking — a week, sometimes two — to follow multiple home games. Mid-term short-term rentals fit better than nightly hotels.
Where to stay
All four stays are within a short drive of Joker Marchant. Larger groups traveling together fit Hollingsworth Bungalow (sleeps 6) or Clementine Cottage (sleeps 6).

Tips
- Book early for late-February and March dates. Tigers spring training is the single biggest demand spike on Lakeland lodging.
- Buy single-game tickets early in the schedule release window. Premier matchups against AL East rivals sell first.
- Plan around afternoon first pitches and Lakeland's spring heat. Bring sunscreen and water.
