About Tigers spring training

Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium is the Detroit Tigers' spring training home and the longest-running spring training partnership in MLB — the Tigers have trained in Lakeland since 1934. The stadium is also home to the Lakeland Flying Tigers during the regular minor-league season.

Tigers fans plan their February–March trips around the spring schedule. Many stay for stretches longer than a typical hotel booking — a week, sometimes two — to follow multiple home games. Mid-term short-term rentals fit better than nightly hotels.
